Famous Dave’s should partner with more local produce vendors. This will help insure that their food is fresh and of the highest quality. This can be done by each individual store since each store can inspect their suppliers and the products provided at any time.
Famous Dave’s should provided tableside ordering and payments. This will allow a customer to place an initial order, request a new/refill drink, and place their payment at the end of their meal. This will decrease the time a server is at the table, and the time a customer is seated while simultaneously increasing the customer service value of each visit. They way this will happen is a few ways.
- Customers can order appetizers and drinks after the host seats them but before a server comes to the table. This will increase a customer's service experience by allowing them to take control of the beginning of a meal, and not feel ignored by a busy server. This will increase table turn around by decreasing the amount of time a customer sits before ordering.
- A server will no longer need to come back and check on the table. If a customer needs to speak with a server, they can alert the server via the tableside system. This will increase the mobility of the server, as well as lead to the potential of needing fewer servers; therefore lowering operational costs.
- A customer will no longer have to wait at the end of a meal for the server to provide the check or return with payment, except in the chance that a customer pays cash for their meal. This will increase a customer's service experience by allowing them to take control of the end of a meal, and not feel rushed out of a pushy server who wants to flip the table, while at the same time cause a net positive turnaround time for tables on average.
