Famous Dave's was started by Dave Anderson with it's first location opening up in 1994 in Hayward, Wisconsin with a second location opening up the following year in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since then Famous Dave's has spread out to over 200 location across the country. The secret to Dave's success is his unmatched passion for barbecue with his home made sauce and rub recipes going on to win over 700 awards since 1994, including many for best ribs, best sauce, and best wings.
